Painted from Maison Dieu capturing Richmond Castle, the old Grammar school looking towards the river Swale, with Frenchgate snaking upwards. This town is steeped in history, is the ‘original, Richmond and has its share of folklore not least the tale of the ghostly Drummer Boy, some say you can still hear him if you listen well…
